I have purchased a MB, memory, SATA drive, PS, etc. I would like to do something like install Win7 64 bit to the new SATA drive and then transfer all apps but not the XP OS from an external copy of the old IDE drive, and then be able to run the apps.
Is this possible?
Unfortunately our software does not provide such type of solution. That is because it was designed to transfer the entire contents of your existing hard drive to a new one.
However, you if you seek to transfer your data files / user account to a Windows 7 computer you can utilize Windows Easy Transfer by Microsoft.
Be aware that this application does not transfer applications. In order for your applications to work you must also copy the registry tied to those applications and the registry is tied to the operating system.
